Meta instant forms and website landing pages both generate leads. They produce different kinds of lead, and the right choice depends on how your business follows up.

Instant forms open inside Facebook or Instagram, pre-filled with the person’s profile details. Submitting takes seconds, so more people do it — including some who barely read the ad.
Landing pages take people to your website. More people drop off along the way, but those who enquire have usually read about your offer and chosen to contact you.
| Instant form | Landing page | |
|---|---|---|
| Lead volume | Usually higher | Usually lower |
| Typical lead intent | Mixed | Usually higher |
| Setup effort | Low | Needs a fast, focused page |
| Tracking | Inside Meta; needs CRM sync | Pixel + Conversions API + GA4 |
| Follow-up needed | Fast — ideally within minutes | Fast, but leads are warmer |
Improve quality by adding one or two qualifying questions, using the “higher intent” form type (which adds a review step before submitting), and making the ad copy specific about who the offer is for.
A landing page only helps if it loads quickly on mobile, matches the ad’s promise and puts the form where people can find it.
If you are unsure, run both with the same audience and creative, and compare them on cost per qualified lead — not cost per lead. That requires marking which leads qualified, but it is the only comparison that reflects revenue.
The short version: instant forms for speed and volume when follow-up is fast; landing pages when intent and explanation matter. Let qualified-lead data decide.
